INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Charts of dangerous items such as blades, lighter/matches etc, some real objects- blades, sand, bucket of water, book, lighter, fire extinguisher, picture showing a safe school environment

STEP 1 INTRODUCTION | The teacher uses the If you’re strong and you know it song and introduces the topic and explains that a School is where we learn to read and write.

STEP 2 DRAMATIZATION | She dramatizes an incident before the children. With a classroom setting, she demonstrates a person using lighter to burn her book and hereby sustaining serious burns

STEP 3 EXPLANATION | She then explains to the children that the school environment becomes unsafe when it is littered with sharp objects like blades, stones, water on the floor etc
She also warns the children not to play with objects like matches/lighter as they could sustain serious burns from them like the character in the drama.

NOTE
