INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of different colours of pencils, real pencils

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the objects found in the classroom song and introduces the topic and explains that a pencil is an object found in the classroom and used for writing and drawing

 

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the pencils in their activity book and asks them to identify them

 

She then asks them to count the number of pencils there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour a pencils with different colours as she draws hers on the board

The pupils draw and colour following the leading of the teacher

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a pencil

  1. How many pencils are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour a pencil

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
