SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify a flower
  2. Count the flowers
  3. Draw and Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of flowers, flowers

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

-The teacher uses the plants song and introduces the topic and explains that

Flowers are plants we use in decorating  and beautifying our environment

She shows them the pictures of different flowers and their names

Pupils pay attention

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the flowers in their activity book and asks them to identify them

She then asks them to count the number of flowers there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour the flowers with colour yellow as she draws and colours hers on the board

The pupils draw and colour following the leading of the teacher

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify flowers

  1. How many flowers are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and Colour a flower

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
