SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Identify a ball as a shape
  2. Count the balls
  3. Draw and Colour them with ease

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES: Identification, explanation, playway method, questions and answers

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of balls, objects that are rectangular in shape

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

-The teacher uses the shapes song and introduces the topic and explains that Ball is an object we can play with

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them the balls in their activity book and asks them to identify them

She then asks them to count the number of balls there are

 

Pupils participate

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour the balls as she draws and colours hers on the board

 

The pupils draw and colour following the leading of the teacher

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify balls

  1. How many balls are in the activity book?
  2. Draw and colour a ball

CLASSWORK: As in evaluation

CONCLUSION: The teacher commends the pupils positively
