Topic: Oral counting of      0-100

Content; Writing 0-60, counting and sorting 1-15 counting in sets  1-10, Numbers endings 9-100, volume ( more or less

Specific Objective; By the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to;

  1. Count numbers 1-100 and write 1-60
  2. Count in sets
  3. Identify more or less in volume.

Instructional materials: counters, number, chart and flash card

Instructional Techniques: Explanation, demonstration, repetition and questions

Entry behaviour: The pupils can count numbers 1-80

Instructional Procedures:

Periods I&II: Oral counting 1- 100, number endings 9-100

The teacher uses number chart as she counts 1-100 repeatedly. She uses counters to count as well.

The Children counts

She counts number endings as thus 9-10, 19-20, 29-30, 39-40, 49-50, 59-60, 69-70, 79-80, 89-90, 99-100.

The teacher allows the pupils count 1-100 collectively and individually.

The pupils count.

Evaluation

The teacher ask the following questions

1. Count numbers 1-100.

2. Fill in the missing ending numbers.

 

 

Conclusion: The teacher corrects and commends them positively.
