INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of squares, objects that are rectangular in shape

 PRESENTATION TEACHER’S ACTIVITY PUPIL’S ACTIVITY STEP 1INTRODUCTION -The teacher uses the shapes song and introduces the topic and explains that Square is a shape that has four sides. Pupils pay attention STEP 2IDENTIFICATION The teacher shows them the squares in their activity book and asks them to identify themShe then asks them to count the number of squares there are Pupils participate STEP 3DRAWING AND COLOURING The teacher shares out their books for them to draw and colour the squares with colour black as she draws and colours hers on the board The pupils draw and colour following the leading of the teacher
