INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Activity book/Drawing book, Colours(coloured pencils, crayons, poster colours), pictures of a chair

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher sings a song about chair

She then tells the children that a chair is an object we sit on

Pupils sing along and participate

STEP 2

IDENTIFICATION

The teacher shows them a drawn chair and describes some common features of a chair

Pupils listen

STEP 3

DRAWING AND COLOURING

The teacher shares out the pupils activity book and so they can draw and colour a chair as she draws and colours hers on the board

The pupils draw and colour following the teacher’s leading

 

EVALUATION:    1. Identify a chair

  1. Count the chairs
  2. Draw and Colour a chair

CLASS-WORK: Colour the house with different colours

CONCLUSION: The teacher marks their books and commends them positively
