Content:   Writing 0 –40, learning colours – red, blue, black, yellow, brown, white, green, the days of the week. Number ending 9 -80, fill in the missing numbers 1-40

Specific Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:

1. Count and identify numbers 1- 80
2. Write numbers 1 – 40
3. Outline more colours
4. Mention the days of the week and the activity for each day

Instructional Materials: Number chart, counters. Flash cards etc

Instructional Techniques: Demonstration, repetition, questions

Entry Behaviour:  The pupils can count 1 – 70                                                                                                                  Set Induction: The teacher uses number rhyme to arouse their interest

Periods I and II: Oral counting/ Identification of 0-80, writing 0-40
