  2. Mention the various colours the cake comes in
  3. Recite the rhymes with ease

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the cake song;

She explains that a cake is a very delicious snack.

 

She tells them that the cake is used to celebrate different occasions like birthdays, weddings etc

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them a drawn cake.

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

 

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake baker's man
Bake me a cake as fast as you can
Pat it and prick it and mark it with "B"
Put it in the oven for baby and me
