SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to

  1. Give a simple meaning of creation
  2. Give some examples of things that were created by God and on which day it was created

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: toys, picture books showing God’s creation, bible, story book

STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher uses the ‘He’s got the whole world in His hands’ song to introduce the topic.

She explains that creation means when we make something out of nothing

EXPLANATION

She then further explains that the world had nothing until God decided to create things out of it

DEMONSTRATION

Using the bible story books and the pictures there in she tells the story of creation from the 1st -4th day

-      1st day: God created Light and separated it from darkness

-      2nd Day: God created the sky

-      3rd Day: God created Land, seas and trees

-      4th Day- sun, moon and stars

NOTE TAKING

The teacher writes a short note on the board

The pupils copy the note
