STEP 1

INTRODUCTION

The teacher introduces the topic with the animal song;

 

She explains that a king is someone who rules over a kingdom

 

She tells them the king is the one who maintains order and peace un the kingdom

The pupils pay attention and participate

STEP 2

EXPLANATION

The teacher explains the rhymes and shows them the picture of a king.

 

She also explains the wordings one after the other

Pupils listen

STEP 3

RECITATION

The teacher recites the rhyme as many times as possible and asks the pupils to do same.

Old King Cole was a merry old soul,

And a merry old soul was he;

He called for his pipe,

 and he called for his bowl,

 And he called for his fiddlers three.
