The teacher introduces the topic with a  song on greetings

Explanation

She explains tat greetings are respectful ways of communication.

She mentions some local social practices and habits on greetings such as girls kneel down, boys prostrate

Demonstration

She uses song books, radio, television, toys etc to show ways of greeting

The teacher writes a short note on the board for the pupils to copy

NOTE

Greetings are respectful ways of communicating. We greet good morning in the morning, good afternoon in the afternoon, good night in the night. Some local social practices/habits of greetings are: the girl kneels down to greet, the boy prostrates to greet.
