BUSINESS LETTER II

Different ways of writing letters can involve various elements and methods to enhance clarity, professionalism, and effectiveness in communication. Below are different aspects related to writing letters:

  1. Subject Heading: A subject heading is a brief phrase or sentence that summarizes the content or purpose of the letter. It is typically placed below the salutation in a business letter format to provide context to the recipient.
  2. Enclosure(s): If additional documents or items are included with the letter (such as reports, brochures, or forms), "Enclosure(s)" or "Attachment(s)" is noted below the closing of the letter to inform the recipient about these additional items.
  3. Letterhead: A letterhead is a pre-printed heading on stationery that includes the company's name, logo, address, and contact information. It serves to identify the organization and enhance branding on official correspondence.
  4. Carbon Paper: Carbon paper is a thin paper coated with a layer of dry ink or pigment on one side. It is placed between sheets of paper to create copies when writing or typing. The pressure from writing or typing on the top sheet transfers ink or pigment to the sheet below (carbon copy).
  5. Flimsy (Onion Skin Paper): Flimsy or onion skin paper is a very thin and lightweight paper, often used in typewritten documents where multiple copies (carbon copies) are needed. It allows for easy transfer of writing or typing to create duplicates.
