NOTE

ARSON

It is an illegal use of fire to destroy a house, building or property. There are times this method is used to cover up misdeed in office by setting ablaze a building so that relevant documents will be burnt off.

CAUSES OF ARSON

  1. covering of a crime
  2. as a revolt against an unfavourable government policy
  3. political disagreement

 

EFFECTS OF ARSON

  1. destruction of properties
  2. destruction of lives
  3. financial losses
  4. scarcity of goods
  5. it can bring about unemployment

 

KIDNAPPING

This is unlawfully holding or trapping a person in a place for the sole purpose of collecting a ransom in exchange for their release.

CAUSES OF KIDNAPPING

  1. poverty
  2. unemployment
  3. greed and selfish desire for money
  4. wanting to revenge on a person

 

EFFECTS OF KIDNAPPING

  1. emotional and psychological trauma
  2. Unnecessary fear and tension on citizens
  3. scares away foreigners from investing in the country
