THE NIGERIA CUSTOMS SERVICE(NCS)

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is an independent customs service under the supervisory oversight of the Nigerian Ministry of Finance, responsible for the collection of customs revenue, Facilitation of both national and international trade and anti-smuggling activities.

THE ROLES OF THE NCS IN CRIME PREVENTION

  1. To combat all smuggling activities
  2. To prevent money laundering
  3. To put an end to the infraction on intellectual property rights
  4. To combat illegal trades of arms, ammunitions, illicit drugs, pornographic materials, toxic and hazardous substances
