NATIONAL ECONOMY

National economy is the state of a nation’s finances in view of what it produces.

ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES

Trading is the act of buying and selling of goods and services

Trade can be divided into two

  1. Home trade-Also known as internal trade, it is the trade that happens within a country. There are two forms of home trade;
  2. Wholesale trade: This is when goods are bought in large quantities from the producers and sold directly to the retailers and consumers

FUNCTIONS OF THE WHOLESALERS

  1. he moves the goods from the producers to the retailers
  2. He assists in advertising the goods
  3. he provides delivery services to retailers and end-consumers
  4. He provides credit facilities for retailers
  5. Retail trade: this is when goods are bought in small quantities from the wholesalers and sold directly to the consumers

FUNCTIONS OF THE RETAILERS

  1. he moves goods from the wholesalers to the consumers
  2. he sells in bits to the final consumers
  3. he gives credit facilities to tested and proven consumers
  4. He provides information about the market to the wholesalers
