GRAPHIC DESIGN

Graphic design is the art and practice of planning and projecting ideas and experiences with visual and textual content. It involves creating visual concepts using various tools and techniques to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers.

Types of graphic design

There are two main types of graphic design:

  1. Still Graphics: Still graphics refer to static visual designs, such as logos, posters, brochures, packaging, advertisements, and website layouts. They are typically used in print media, digital media, and branding materials.
  2. Motion Graphics: Motion graphics involve the use of animation, video footage, and audio to create visually engaging content. This type of design is often used in film, television, advertising, user interface design, and interactive media. Motion graphics can include animated logos, title sequences, explainer videos, and animated infographics. They bring static elements to life, adding movement and interactivity to enhance communication and storytelling.

Lettering

Lettering is the art of creating visually appealing and stylized letters, often by hand, to convey a message or communicate information. It involves the careful arrangement and design of letterforms, including their shape, size, spacing, and style.

The importance of lettering lies in

I.)  its ability to enhance communication,

II.) evoke emotions, and create unique visual identities.
