TRANSPORTATION

Transportation refers to the movement of goods, people, or animals from one place to another. It involves various modes such as road, rail, air, water, and pipelines.

Types of Transportation

  1. Road Transportation: This includes vehicles like cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles traveling on roads and highways.
  2. Rail Transportation: This involves trains running on railways or tracks, transporting passengers and goods over long distances.
  3. Air Transportation: This mode utilizes aircraft such as airplanes and helicopters to transport passengers and cargo through the air.
  4. Water Transportation: Water transportation includes ships, boats, and ferries moving goods and people across oceans, seas, rivers, and lakes.
  5. Pipeline Transportation: This mode uses pipelines to transport liquids, gases, and sometimes solids, such as crude oil, natural gas, water, and chemicals, over long distances.
