WATER

Water is a colourless, transparent and tasteless liquid that forms watr bodies

Sources of water supply

  1. man-made sources- they are water sources built by man such as dams, well, water borehole, hand pump, tap water, water canal and reservoir
  2. Natural sources- they are water sources that occur naturally such as rivers, oceans, lakes, spring, stream, pond, spring and rain

 

WAYS OF KEEPING WATER SOURCES CLEAN

  1. promptly repair water pipes to avoid rust
  2. wells should be covered properly to prevent the influx of germs that can result in water borne diseases
  3. clean buckets should be used in fetching water
  4. Avoid dumping refuse into water sources
  5. avoid the use of chemicals in fishing in order not to contaminate the water
