A sentence can also be defined as a group of words expressing a statement, a question or a command.

1.   A sentence must have a subject and a predicate. The subject tells us the part that is or does something in the sentence. The predicate tells us something about the subject e.g

2.   A sentence must contain at least one verb e.g

Our principal comes early to school

3.   A sentence contains at least a complete thought e.g
