/ᵉᵊ/ The sound /ᵉᵊ/ is pronounced when the tongue starts down in an open mid-front position to say /e/ and then moves backwards for the pronunciation of /ᵊ/. Your lips are neutrally open throughout. Care must be taken not to turn diphthong /ᵉᵊ/ to monothong /ᵉ/
