CORRUPTION

Corruption means dishonestly using one’s position or power to one’s

advantage especially for money

TYPES OF CORRUPTION

  1. petty corruption e.g exchanging of small improper gifts, using personal

connection to obtain favours from public or private institutions

  1. Grand corruption which occurs at the highest levels of government
  2. Systemic corruption- occurs due to the weakness of an organization or

process

  1. Government/public sector corruption
  2. Political corruption
  3. Judicial corruption

METHODS OF CORRUPTION

  1. Bribery- also known as kickbacks is the improper use of gifts and favour
