NOTE

LEADERSHIP

Leadership is a process whereby a person called a leader is able to guide and influence the behaviour and activities of others in order to achieve set objectives

 

TYPES OF LEADERSHIP

  1. Autocratic leadership: it is a situation that a leader takes decisions that affect members of the group alone based on the goals he or she desires without consulting the followers for input
  2. Democratic leadership: it is a situation that a leader consults the members of the group for input before taking decisions based on the goals the group desires
  3. Laissez-faire leadership: it is a type of leadership where the leader rarely exercises control over the followers. The followers are given little to no direction and are allowed to establish their own objectives as well as make their own decisions individually.

  6. represents and negotiates on behalf of the group
