An outline is a list of the main ideas or facts about something without the details. It is very important that you form an outline before writing a composition or any type of writing.

 

Importance of an outline

1.   It helps you to stick to the main ideas or fact about your composition

2.   It helps you to organize your work very well

3.   It helps you to have adequate facts before writing

4.   It also helps you to see at a glance the structure and main points of the composition you are about to write
