NOTE

METHODS OF CONTROLLING PESTS

  1. Physical method: this involves destruction, collection, burning, trapping, picking etc
  2. Cultural method: this is a method aimed at starving the pests to death by practicing crop rotation, fallowing and changing the time of planting
  3. Biological method: In this method, the natural enemies of pests are used to destroy them
  4. Chemical method: It is using insecticides to destroy pests
  5. Legislation method: it involves quarantine service which ensures that new planting materials into the country are pest and disease-free
