OUR COMMON SOCIAL INSTITUTIONS AND PRACTICES

  1. Marriage systems- there are three marriage systems practiced by all

ethnic groups in Nigeria; traditional marriage, religious marriage and civil

marriage

  1. Family systems: All ethnic groups in Nigeria practice extended family

System.

  1. In all ethnic groups in Nigeria, age and position earns and even

demands respect

  1. Three types religion are common among the various ethnic groups in

Nigeria; Christianity, Islam and Traditional religion
