ENTERTAINMENT IN THE HOME

Host (for a male) or hostess (for a female) is a person who invites and receives guests at an event, gathering, or party. The host/hostess is responsible for organizing the event, ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of the guests, and overseeing the event’s overall flow.

 

Characteristics/Responsibilities of a Host/Hostess:

  • Planning and Organization: They are responsible for organizing the event, including sending invitations, planning the menu, and arranging entertainment or activities.

  • Social Skills: A host or hostess should be sociable, ensuring that everyone feels included and engaged throughout the event.
