COMMON CRIMES: DEALING IN FAKE DRUGS

Fake drugs are substandard drugs that are not approved for human use.

Dealing in fake drugs means when someone engages in buying and selling of fake drugs Such activity is a criminal act. The general public especially licensed chemicals shops, hospital, clinics  and other health care store need to be cautioned against buying fake drugs from drug peddlers and other dubious sources.

 

CAUSES OF DEALING IN FAKE DRUGS

  1. crave for wealth
  2. poor quality control
  3. corruption on the part of our political leaders
  4. lack of respect for human lives
  5. lack of stringent policy on sales of drugs,
  6. inconsistent regulatory checks

 

EFFECTS OF DEALING IN FAKE DRUGS

  1. Emergence of more diseases and sicknesses
  2. loss of lives
  3. more emotional and psychological traumas

 

PREVENTION OF DEALING IN FAKE DRUGS

  1. stringent laws on drug dispensing should be enacted
  2. Regular enlightening of the public on purchase of drugs
  3. serious monitoring of pharmaceutical stores
  4. prosecution of unregistered drug sellers
  5. intensive monitoring of pharmaceutical companies to boost quality
