Equipment means all special tools, machines and clothes that a person needs for a particular activity.

 

Some people wrongly use the word “equipment” as a countable noun but it is actually an uncountable noun.

Hence it is wrong to say;

Dentists must sterilize all their equipments

Rather we say;

Dentists must sterilize all their equipment.
