CLASSIFICATION OF FARM ANIMALS BASED ON THEIR FEEDING PATTERN

Farm animals can be identified by the special arrangement of the teeth. They are

  1. Carnivores: these are animals that feed on flesh e.g cats, dogs etc
  2. Herbivores: these are animals that feed on grasses, grains, leaves, chaff and other plant materials e.g goats, sheep, horse, cattle etc
  3. Omnivores: these are animals that feed on both flesh and grass e.g pigs, guinea pigs, chicken etc
