CONTACT AND NON-CONTACT SPORTS

Non-contact sports are sports in which players have no physical contact with each other

There are three basic groups of contact sports

  1. Non-contact and strenuous sports e.g running, rowing, sailing, swimming, tennis, weight lifting etc
  2. Non contact and moderately strenuous e.g curling, badminton, table tennis etc

3.Non contact and non-strenuous sports e.g golf

 

Benefits of non-contact sports

  1. it improves flexibility, agility, endurance and power.
  2. the risk of heart related diseases are reduced
  3. it increases the range of motion without much stress on the joint
  4. it reduces the wear and tear of the muscle
