INPUT DEVICES
MOUSE

The mouse is an input device that can be used to perform many operations in windows and windows-based applications.

A mouse is a small object you can roll along a hard or flat surface. It controls the movement of the cursor on a display screen.

 

TYPES OF MOUSE

  1. Mechanical mouse: It contains a rubber ball that makes the cursor move according to the rotation of the internal ball
  2. Optical mouse or laser mouse works well on several surfaces and in bright lights.

 

FUNCTIONS OF THE MOUSE
1. Clicking 

  1. Right-clicking
  2. Dragging
  3. Pointing

USES AND OPERATION OF MOUSE

  1. Ensure you hold the mouse correctly, by placing your pointing finger on the left button.
  2. To click, press the button usually the left one and quickly release the mouse
  3. To double click to run applications, documents or folders, you click the left button and release your hand from the mouse
  4. To drag files, press left button
  5. To scroll through a page quickly, click inside the page
  6. To deselect a selection, left click outside the selection and quickly release the mouse
