Safety guidelines for pedestrians

  1. Use Crosswalks: Cross streets at designated crosswalks or intersections, obeying traffic signals.
  2. Look Both Ways: Before crossing a street, look left and right to ensure no oncoming traffic.
  3. Make Eye Contact: When possible, make eye contact with drivers to ensure they see you before crossing.
  4. Sidewalk Use: Walk on sidewalks, and if unavailable, walk facing oncoming traffic.
  5. Children and Pets: Keep a close eye on children and pets near roadways, holding hands or using leashes.

Safety guidelines for cyclists/Motorcyclists

  1. Wear a protective gear: Always wear a properly fitted helmet to protect against head injuries.
  2. Be Visible: Use lights, reflectors, and bright clothing, especially in low-light conditions.
  3. Follow Traffic Rules: Obey traffic signals, signs, and road markings, and ride in the same direction as traffic.
  4. Avoid Distractions: Refrain from using electronic devices while cycling to maintain focus.
  5. Educate Yourself: Understand and follow local cycling laws and regulations.
  6. Stay Sober: Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  7. Regular Maintenance: Ensure your motorcycle is well-maintained, with functioning brakes, lights, and tires.
