CHARACTER FORMATTING: Characters are letters, punctuation marks, numbers and symbols that you type as text. Character formatting determines how characters appear on the screen and in print. STEPS:
Example, if in step 4, you want to type N from effect, click the check box for strike through
PARAGRAPH FORMATTING: When you create a document, Word automatically applies default formats. Even if you only type and print the document, you produce a document that is readable and presentable.
The default formats are:
Paragraph, left aligned, single spaced
Tab stops: every 0.5 inch; left aligned
Margins: 1inch top and bottom; 1.25 inches left and right
The margins are page set up option. They can be changed for the whole document or for a selected part of the document. The other formats are paragraph formats
