CONTENT

Water is a liquid, it can be found naturally, that is water bodies not made by man examples river, rain, lakes, seas, streams, spring and ocean. Artificial sources of water are man made sources of water, examples well, boreholes, water tanks and ponds.

Qualities of clean water

1. Water can be said to be clean, when itis
2. odourless,
3. colourless,
4. contamination free and
6. Unclean water has
7. colour,
8. taste
9. odour or smell
10. and it is contaminated and unfit for drinking

Dangers of drinking unclean water: drinking unclean water can result in

1. Vomiting or diarrhea
2. Skin rashes
3. Water-borne diseases such typhoid, cholera and jaundice
4. Dehydration
5. Death

Methods of purifying water

1. By filtering
2. By adding chlorine to the water
3. By boiling the water.
