SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;
ENTRY BEHAVIOR : Pupils can identify and recite all the letters of the alphabets and the vowels
SET INDUCTION : The teachers uses the ‘Oh did you see the Billy goat’ song to arouse the pupils
INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES : Discussion, group activities, songs
INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS : Objects with the ‘ow’ grapheme, chart showing objects with the ‘ow’ grapheme sound, white board, dry erase marker, clue cards

PERIOD 1 AND 2: Recognition, spelling and reading the ‘ow’ graphemes
