SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;

Sound simple sentences with Group 1 consonant/vowel/consonant words: A fat cat, A fat cat sat, A fat cat sat on a mat, It is a fat rat, pat the rat, A fat rat sat on a mat
Write simple sentences with Group 1 consonant/vowel/consonant words: A fat cat, A fat cat sat, A fat cat sat on a mat, It is a fat rat, pat the rat, A fat rat sat on a mat

ENTRY BEHAVIOR : Pupils can identify and sound the Group 1 Consonant/vowel/consonant words

SET INDUCTION : The teachers uses the three-letter words songs to arouse the interest of the pupils

A fat cat sat on a mat And pronounces each of the words individually then as a sentence, observing both the falling and rising tune repeatedly as the pupils repeats after her	The pupils respond and participate
3	EVALUATION	The teacher evaluates the pupils by telling them to sound the following sentence 1. A fat cat 2. A fat cat sat 3. A fat cat sat on a mat
4	CLASS WORK	The pupils are made to write the simple sentences with Group 1 consonant/vowel/consonant words as the teacher dictates it
5	CONCLUSION	The teacher marks, commends and corrects the pupils where necessary
