CONTENT : Simple sentences with tricky words: we go up, it is so, it is I, it is my ox, go up to it

 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to;

  1. Sound simple sentences with tricky words
  2. Write simple sentences with tricky words

 

ENTRY BEHAVIOR : Pupils can identify and sound the tricky words: Consonant vowel words

SET INDUCTION : The teachers uses the two-letter words songs to arouse the interest of the pupils 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES : Singing, storytelling, playway, gestures/demonstration,gestures, explanation and repetition 

 

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS : Flash cards of tricky words: Consonant vowel words, phonics sound chart, sentence strips with tricky words: Consonant vowel words

PERIOD 1 AND 2: Sounding of simple sentences with tricky words: consonant vowel words

The teacher revises all the tricky words: Consonant vowel words already treated

The teacher introduces the topic on the board as sounding of simple sentences 

The pupils listen

SOUNDING SIMPLE SENTENCES WITH TRICKY WORDS: CONSONANT VOWEL SOUNDS

The teacher writes the simple sentences with vowel consonant words

We go up

It is so

And pronounces each of the words individually then as a sentence, observing both the falling and rising tune repeatedly as the pupils repeats after her

The pupils respond and participate

EVALUATION

The teacher evaluates the pupils by telling them to sound the following sentence

1. we go up

2. It is so

CLASS WORK

The pupils are made to write the simple sentences with tricky words consonant vowel words             as the teacher dictates it

CONCLUSION

The teacher marks, commends and corrects the pupils where necessary
