TOPIC: LIVING IN A COMMUNITY UNDER GOD'S LAW

What is Law?

A law is a rule of action established by any authority such as the state.The law is for the whole country and it tells the citizens what to do and what not to do. 

The law, rule and regulation, code or command .They are designed to make the general good institution and society. They are designed to make the majority members happy in their relationship with one another.

GOD’S COMMANDMENT (EX.20:2-11, DEUT.8:4-5)

God give this Law to the Israelite on Mount Sinai after He had rescued then from oppression in Egypt under the leadership of Moses .The Law was to regulate their behaviours and relationship with Him and with one another. This Law is called Ten Commandments (Genesis 20: 1-17)

1. You shall have no other god before me.
2. You shall not make for yourself a graven image.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
5. Honour thy father and mother.
6. You shall not kill.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not bear false witness.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, wife or property.
