Biblical account of creation (Genesis 1&2)

The Bible gives the account of the creation of the world in the book of Genesis chapter 1and 2. Before creation, there was nothing .God spoke, and the things He wanted to create appeared .There are six (6) days of creation.

The first Day: God created Light (Genesis 1:1-5) .Before light was created, there was total darkness. God then said “Let there be light; and there was light.

The second Day: God created the Firmament (Genesis 1: 6-8) ,on the second day ,God created the firmament or the heaven ,the skies and the clouds appeared.

The third Day: God created the sea, land and vegetation (Gen. 1:9-13).God created the seas and land on the third day. He created the tree, grasses and other forms of vegetation.

The fourth Day: God created the Heavenly Bodies (Gen.1:14-19).God created the heavenly bodies .These are the sun ,moon ,stars and other planets .The sun was to shine during the day and the moon by night thus bring about day and night.

The Fifth Day: God created the sea, animals and birds :( Gen.1:20-23) .God created all kind of fish that we see in the sea ,on the fifth day .He also created all types of birds on the day.

The sixth Day : God created Land animal and Man: God created all the different kinds of land animals that exist on all continents .Finally God created mankind His own image ,and put him in charge of everything in the world.

The seventh Day: God rested (Gen.2:1-3); God rested on the seventh day of creation and called it the Sabbath which is on Sunday.

WHY DID GOD CREATE HUMAN BEING?

God created the first set of Human beings .First, God created man. God created man from the dust .He took clay and molded it to form mango then breath into his nostrils ‘the breath of life and man became a human being .God call him Adam .AS Adam slept, God took one of his ribs and use it to created woman .God then brought the woman to Adam .When he woke up ,he saw the woman and was very happy .

THE PURPOSE OF GOD IN CREATION OF HUMAN BEINGS

God created human beings to be together as husband and wife .When God first created Adam, He was all alone .He had no wife .Therefore ,God created woman (Eve) for him as his wife .The were be together as husband and wife.

The tall trees in the greenwood,

The meadows where we play,

The Lord made them all

He gave us eyes to see them,

And lips that we might tell.

How greater is God Almighty,

Who has made all things well?
