Lessonotes ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Lessonotes mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
When you generate a lesson plan, you provide content such as language, subject, grade/class, topic, standards, and other instructions. This content is used to generate your lesson plan.
If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by the app store. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive purchase status and subscription information from the app store.
We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Ad networks may collect device identifiers and information needed to deliver ads and measure performance.
To generate lesson plans, we send your lesson-plan request content to third-party AI providers. This may include the language, subject, grade/class, topic, standards, and any other text you provide. We do not send additional personal information unless you include it in your input.

Before we send your lesson-plan inputs to third-party AI providers, we ask for your permission in the app. If you do not consent, we cannot generate a new lesson plan. You can withdraw consent at any time, but that will disable AI generation features.
We retain data only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may retain lesson-plan requests and outputs for service improvement and history features.
Your information may be transferred to and processed in Nigeria and other locations where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is protected consistent with this policy.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date.
